LO data extraction

Hello,

I am working with LO dATA EXTRACTION. The question is : should I schedule the data load on R3 side (tran lbwe)? If yes , please tell me the logic. Assume the following example :

I schedule data load on r3 side once per week and once per day on BW side. In this case the system will not bring new data during the whole week?

Another thing - for already schedulled jobs I dont see the time. Where it disappeared?

Hi Frolovs,

You can schedule the queue by using T.code LBWE. When your Scheduled job was finished from that onward only you will get new data in to BW system, until then you will receive 0 Records only.

I am not quite sure whether ther is another way. But if you choose delta queued, which is the most recommended, you would have to schedule the job in R/3 daily.

The changes are collected in the qRFC-Monitor (see the entries there by pressing F8 in LBWE). By scheduling the job, these entries are processed into the bw-delta-queue (RSA7).

You should be able to monitor the scheduled job in sm37.

Hi Aleksandrs,

I don't know if I got your question correctly, but here some hints.

Data extraction is always scheduled and triggered by BW and not by R/3. In R/3 you only schedule the V3 job in case you setup your data sources for 'queued delta'. The V3 job puts the data into the delta queue from where it gets fetched by BW. So you always have to make sure that the data is in the queue before the extraction job starts on BW.

Siggi

Thanks , but still couple of questions :

1. I schedule V3 job Jan 4, 10 am, periodic - 12 hours

Does it mean that every 12 hours new data on r3 side will be available? Or it just put previous data into queue.

The job only applies the changes of the aRFC-Monitor to the BW-delta queue. In BW, you can fetch that data with a delta package every 12 hours as well or in any longer intervall you like.

hi,

Does it mean that every 12 hours new data on r3 side will be available

as mentioned every 12 hours data collected to bw queue via v3 job. consider v3 schedule periodic 12 hours, i think it's too long, should be in mins, will long queue in sm13.
