Fast Entry - SAP

Hi Sap Experts.

I have questions. We used to do fast entry for time data. However we need to update 2013 IT for some employees. But its not working as it throws an information "No entry in the table T588Q for 2013",

Same problem for 0008 IT as well?

Shall we go and directly add the table entries for infotype 0008 and 2013? is that recommended?? or how to use this screen effectively?

Can anyone throw some light?

Hi Sriram,

if you want to test it configure the table T588Q & T589A and in PA71 you cant see the IT Quota corrections in the list. you have to give manually in the IT direct selection box, sub type, and click on create with proposal and do as per the req. and tell what is happening in the system.

As per your suggestion. i have created the entries in two table T588R and T588Q, its not throwing the error. but the problem is while configuring T588Q its asking for Default value and Fast data entry which i dont know what it is. for other infotypes they have given with some 5550 numbers, but for 2013 i don't know what exactly it is.

So i got struck here.

Try like this,

2013      2600     2600     RPLFST01

create a line 2013  RPLFST01 in the table T588R

i am not sure, i didn't create any fast entry for IT 2013.

Hi Praneeth,

Thanks for your reply once again. i did that, i added that screen.i am able to get the screen. but whatever absence quota i input. it throws a message stating. "Quota type 02 is not allowed for this absence type" it works in Pa30 but not in PA71,

Hi Sriram,

At last you find that fast entry will not work right. you can do corrections either through PA30 or PT50 in tab Accrual information and button corrections.

Yes, atlast I have got. But apart from BDC or LSMW, is there any other way do we have to  create a mass data for IT2013?

We wont do fast entry for IT 0008 Basic pay and IT 2013 quota corrections and not advisable also.

Concept of Fast Entry is to maintain the master data at a time for N number of Employees in the Specific Time period.

for example:

IT 0008 is Employee salary and it is not same time period for all the employee's because Employee DOJ is differ from one employee to another employee. same as quota corrections also.

IT 0014 & 0015 are deduction or additional payments are allowed for the specific time period of Employees.

Thanks once again for your reply. I understand from your point for 0008, its not advisable. but why not for 2013???

Is there any significant impact if i add an entry for 2013 in that table?? because i dont find any documentation too on SAP which is why i am confused?

Hi,

IT 2013 Quota corrections are done through PA 30 only. and IT 2013 is allowed for the Absence quotas which are generated with Time evaluation (PT60)

Thanks for your reply, they are running time evaluation to generate the quota's, but for few quota's for ten employees they need to adjust it so they tried 2013 in Pa71 Screen and they get the below error.

so little confusing, why they cant in 2013 in Pa71??

Where fast entry can be done for specific Info types which all are maintained in above mentioned table if it is not maintained it does not allow to do fast entry.

If you wanted to know the impact just add it in Sandbox server test all the possible scenarios then you will come to know whether needs to be done changes or not.

Dear Sriram,

If you do not have sand box no issues at least we have given development system right do the necessary changes explore the system for an hour test all possible scenarios so that you will come to know what is system behavior once we are confirmed that everything working is fine then only move it to other systems if not working as you desired then bring back it to the normal do not move any changes pertaining to the same.

Since requirement varies with each client where you wanted to add 2013 add it and test it.
