QaaWs without authentication

Hi all,

I have an requirement to distribute data from SAP BW, via Query as a Web Service (QaaWS) in Business Objects Platform.

The Query as a Web Service is created on top of a Universe that is connected to a Bex Query.

For the users to access the data via the Universe and QaaWS, they need to authenticate themselfe with a BO Enterprise User.

What I want is for the users NOT to need to input the authentication information when using the QaaWS URL.

Is it possible somehow to access an QaaWS by passing Authentication in the URL itself?

Or is it possible to create a QaaWS that do not require any authentication?

Any thoughts or ideas will be much appreciated.

regards

Oddmar

    Hi again,

What we are actuall trying to achieve here is the following:

    • The consumer of the web service should be able to:
      • Run the URL so that the XML-file contains the Data we want to pass on via the QaaWS
      • This file should then be stored at the consumers site and they can use the data in the file as required
      • This means that there should be no need for any authentication on the consumer side and they should via the URL get the XML -file with data directly

Not sure if this is possible via the QaaWS interface in Business Objects.

    regards
