BOM components are not exploding in configuration result.

Dear Gurus,

I am new to  variant configuration .Just for practice purpose I am doing an example model. I have created a finished product with  KMAT  material type.

Views maintained like  BASIC data1,2  , sales views and MRP views and work scheduling.

Created characteristics also maintained object dependencies of precondition type for characteristic values.

Created finished products BOM with BOM usage '2' and maintained all the components as per different variants

Also maintained object dependencies with selection condition for all components.

Created Routing also maintained operation with object dependencies selection condition type.

Created configuration profile for the finished product.

After that when I am going to check the configuration result through CU50  it is only displaying the header material , components are not displaying.

But in the case of task list it is displaying the operations which all required for the variant.

Please suggest me where I am doing mistake .

Hi Arabind,

you could check before to delete all selection condiction in the bom of finish product in order to figure out if the explosion error depend on selection condiction or bom structures

After you can re-try to run CU50 simulation configuration and see if the component are explosed correctly. In this case you should check selection condiction in the bom.

If istead also without selection condiction in bom item the components aren't explosed yet, you should check the following configurations object:

Check into configuration profile application bom used for explosion, and after the following usage bom to connect. I advise you to use Usage 1 (production) or 3(universal).

Thanks Daniele for suggestion, now it is working.I recreated the BOM  with usage '1'

HI Arabind,

as you have created the BOM with usage 2 . Please check the selection ID of Routing IN OPL8.  i think Selection id 1 IS Maintained  you need to configure a new selection id By copying the Existing. in place of usage you give the usage As 2 and create new ID assign it in the Opl8 .
