Hello GRC mates.
I am trying to configure my own launchpad for MSMP so that I can start the same from NWBC rather than going through SPRO by going through the following post
While configuring i am getting struck at the field System Alias.
Can I create a System Alias. If So, Where?
Also, I don't have EP in my landscape.
Is it mandatory to have EP if I need to configure my own launch pad?
Looking forward for some help in this regard to move further.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Regards,
Deepak M
Hi Deepak
As an FYI I wrote a blog showing the options for building your custom NWBC layouts that extends on the blog you are referring to. There is a also a wiki link in it to show some steps
In relation to your questions
Creating the System Alias - have a look in transaction LPD_CUST overview screen (before you drill into a launchpad) and there should be a button or menu navigation to get to that information (I think). I'm not sure that you would need to create one as Local System or copying another webdynpro link would be sufficient for what you need to do. The Alias (I assume) allows you to transport consistently so your configuration can work in different environments.
You do not require Enterprise Portal for GRC. If this was the case, I think there would be a lot of annoyed customers out there.

Hello Colleen,
Thanks a lot for the almost immediate reply.
Well, I did configured launchpad and used the tcode LPD_CUST that was mentioned in the reply.
Nice to know that EP is not mandatory.
And though a bit late, BELATED HAPPY NEW YEAR and thanks for all the answers posted by you in the last year to help me improve my GRC 10.0 knowledge.
