problem in filling data in psa

hi.

i create a generic data source via a program  from this link :

when i go to RSA3 and extract data source after 6 minutes show me the out put and i have data in my data source.

when i replicate my data source and active it , i create an infopackage to fill my psa table.

in schedule tab i  push start , i have request in my psa but that is yellow and there isnot any data in my psa.

i go to sm58 to execute request manually , but there isnot any request there! why this happen!  in this situation i cant continue my work until create info cube because i'm not going  have any data  in that !

Hi,

first check if the extraction job finished successfully. According to the your monitor screen print is seems that you are extracting the data within the same system, correct? (at least the icon seems to be the myself icon) If the job finished  successfully but did not extract any data, check which user extracts the data. Logon with the extraction user and execute RSA3 again.

Is your infoset related to HR. If so check whether your bw background user has the required authorisation.

Check whether the background job is getting executed in the source system.

Check whether its getting completed.you may have to complete the datamodel before you start the extraction.

Hi,

if it is the yellow status PSA request check the job log in ECC system SM37.

check the below options ata info pacakge manitor screen.

read the job log in the ECC system.

check the one more options errror messages.

Hi,

pelase check the source system connection

go to RSA1 -> select respective source system -> right click -> check  -> ok.

after checking you will messages on down - source connection is ok.

if you get any error you need to check with the your basis team members.

meanwhile check the source system connection in SM59.

Hi,

are you using the filter selections at info pacakge level if have check the any wrong selections

give the respective data selections at info package.

in ECC side run the data source giving the some selections and give the same slections at info pacakge

for testting you can do it for 2 or 10 records.

i have filter selections but i dont give any filter to it. in rsa3 i dont give any filter and  i have 100 records and can see it when extract data source.

Hi,

do one thing

replicate the data source form ECC to BW then activate it.

after create the new info package and don't give the any selelction at info package run the info pacakge.

check the PSA data

i right do this, and have no any one request!

when i change my source of program and select from another z table and then start infopackage , system create request for me and i can see it in sm58, but with that source that i want system dont do that.

Hi,

you are facing the problem while extracting form ECC to BW.

in monitor scrren have still yellow satus unitill wait get finsh or failure.

if it is the failed please check error message form the info pacakge monitor screen.

now see the error message with black colour

after check the step by setp analysis button.

you will get the some idea where are the problem
