Error in Install instance basics of ASCS01 phase

Dear Expert,


I am about installing as SAP ECC 6.0 SR3 on SUSE Linux 11 with DB2 9.1.


In the execution phase, step 'Install Instance Basics of ASCS01' we get the error:

"Could not start instance service of instance RP1/ASCS01".


In the sapinst_dev.log, we can see:


ERROR 2015-01-02 09:30:11.590CJS-30223 Could not start instance service of instance RP1/ASCS01.


ERROR 2015-01-02 09:30:11.829FCO-00011 The step createService with step key|NW_ABAP_OneHost|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_Onehost_System|ind|ind|ind|ind|onehost|0|NW_CI_Instance|ind|ind|ind|ind|ci|0|NW_Instance|ind|ind|ind|ind|scsInstance|0|createService was executed with status ERROR ( Last errorreported by the step: Could not start instance service of instanceRP1/ASCS01.).

    Hi Rahul,

    Please ensure /tmp has full permission.

      Dear Deepak,

      I checked /tmp folder already have full permission. Also refer this thread but useful for me.

      Is it anything any way to solve this Issue ??

    Hello,

    In this scenario u can cleanly down your instance and then try to proceed ahead. also check sapstartsrv is up or not.
