how to change the transformation in BW

Hi all ,

         i created transformation in and activated it and i scheduled DTP but i want to change the transformation in DTP while i am running DTP it is picking only the latest transformation i tried to change the transformation it is changed to in process  but it is still EXICUTABLE . can any one tell me how to assign the transformation in DTP. i am sorry to post this i searched and i didn't got solution.

Hi Vamshi,

you can have only one transformation from one source to one target and you cant assign transformation in DTP. until you finish all the changes and activate it, system will use the old active transformation when you run the DTP.

How say Kodanda, is not possible more than one transformation to same datasource, if you want apply differents filters to load, you need apply all filters in a transformation, you can use routines by del unnesesary records or calculate others.

Hi,

Just delete the old transformation and DTP.

Then create a new transformation (activate/save) and DTP (activate/save).

please check the below option your transformation

it is executable or inactive status - please check.

if not activate the transformation manually.

same target and same source 2nd trasformation not possible to create.- it won't allow

It should be in active mode , not in process .. only then it will work

if you already created the transformation it won't allow the create the another transformations for the same source and target.

transformations executable it is the active status.

how to assign the transformation in DTP

select the traget object -> right click -> create the transformaitons -> give the source or target name -> then continute it -> after activate the transformation.
