Hi,
please contact Technical Support - that is the correct way of getting best results from Installation / Deployment experts.
you don't want to 'guess' this, bases on an old thread. to resolve this situation, it will be linked directly to the information found in the log file that needs to be analyzed

H
Hi Murtaza,
I am suspecting the SIA and the AJS could have lost its references.
We could check this by few tests
Make the necessary changes such as the directory of the installation and its absolute paths, SIANAME , FQDN.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64\JobServer.exe" -javaargs "Dbusinessobjects.connectivity.directory=C:/Program Files (x86)/SAP BusinessObjects/SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0//dataAccess/connectionServer,Dcom.businessobjects.mds.cs.ImplementationID=csEX,Djava.awt.headless=true,XX:MaxPermSize=192m" -loggingPath "C:/Program Files (x86)/SAP BusinessObjects/SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0/logging/" -maxDesktops 0 -jsTypeDescription "Crystal Reports Job Server" -objectType CrystalEnterprise.Report -fg -restart -name SIANAME.AdaptiveJobServer -pidfile "C:/Program Files (x86)/SAP BusinessObjects/SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0/serverpids/SIANAME_SIANAME.AdaptiveJobServer.pid" -ns <FQDN>:6400\
If this executes then it is a clear indication that the process is functional but the SIA is not able to start the Service.
2. After this you can now create a new SIA pointing to a blank DB and check if the AJS works there.
If the AJS work in both the scenario then you can opt to recreate the original SIA which could be the possible solution here

Hi Murtaza,
I'm a little confused!
Is the system on a Windows or a Unix server?
The paths should be:
WINDOWS: <install root>\SAP BusinessObjects\setup\packagestemp
LINUX/UNIX: <install root>\setup\packages (root is 1 level above sap_bobj).
Also, if Windows, and if G: is the install drive, is G: a local drive or a shared/mounted drive?
-Sid
Along with Pavan's suggestion, please also check <BO install root>\setup\packagestemp directory.
Are there any objects in this folder?

Can you see if
ServerIntelligence_Service_JavaSchedulingService_To_Install_dfo_frag.xml and
ServerIntelligence_Service_JavaSchedulingService_dfo.xml
are available or not?
Location: <BO_INSTALL_DIR>/sap_bobj/enterprise_xi40/packages

Murtaza,
Was this server ever working ? Please provide more info?
- Was the Adaptive Job Server working before the upgrade ?
- What was you original BI 4.x version before the upgrade ?
- Did you move the BI4 install from another server?
- What OS are you running it on?
- Does the SIA work from CCM ?

Ajay

Hi Murtuza,
You've attached excerpts from the .ncs trace. That might not help much.
The .glf log files would contain more relevant errors. You could try attaching the .glf file which contains traces from the TIME of the issue.
Is it correct that the server status is Running - Disabled?
Try to stop the server, does it go into the Stopped status?
Try to also create a new Adaptive Job Server (stop the original one before doing so). If and when created, does the new server run successfully?

Do you get this error on the properties page of the CMS?
"This CMS does not belong to any Server Intelligence Agent."
Is this the CUID of your currently active CMS with name "nodename.CentralManagementServer"?
"AfyQ54CyuAJEmqicmuGOH_s"
In the core services category, do you find more than 1 servers of kind CMS?
Hi Murtaza,
Error message from the log file is related to solution manager and not SAP Business Objects application.
Please refer the below KBA.
