Hello everyone,
In the Download Centre in the Application and User Management WorkCentre on ByDesign, there is a barcode scanner program by the above name. The downloader provides a .CAB file; however, after using PeaZip (Windows doesn't have a built-in mechanism to extract .CAB files) it just produces a load of random files as below. Clearly, none of these are executable, and there's no executable in the CUSTOM~1.001 folder, so how do I go about installing the program, does anyone know?
Cheers,
Lewis
Hi Lewis,
The downloaded .cab file is meant to be installed in your rugged mobile device – as far as I understood it is a screenshot from your Windows machine.
Please look into following link under “Installation Instructions” section.

Cristiano,
Thanks for the reply. Gotcha --- so I just bung it on the device and hey presto right? Yes, the screenshot in my original post is from my Windows laptop. Thanks a lot --- this should be enough for me to work on. By the way, none of the hits I've got about it on Google specifically mention dedicated barcode scanners --- to my mind, they all refer to using mobile phones etc. as scanners. I'm guessing dedicated machines count, in this case...? Have you got any experience of this?
Lewis
Managed to get this all loaded up --- the barcode scanner I have wasn't connecting to the internet but a tech at Zebra (they bought Motorola) helped me with that and now it's all hunky dory. The application was actually pre-loaded onto the scanner!
