I have a similar question i want to create a formula with handling "#".
how can i acheive this in bex , as we dont have if and else statements i am using Boolean functions to achieve this , but i cant enter "#' or cant use a blank ""
( Formula variable ==1001) *KF1+( Formula variable== 5002) * KF2+ (Formula variable =="#")*KF3
Note : Formula variable is by processing type - replacement path with Char info object.

Hi,
# means it is the blank vlaue.
check the MP/CUBE in the LISTCUBE (TXCODE)
if you want blank values in report level you will get # values
if don't want the # values you can restrict the at the designer level.
open the query designer -> open the qeury -> select the object -> right click -> select the restrict with exclude function.
Thanks,
Phani.

Hi Bala,
The hash sign (#) represents an initial (blank) value in BW and BEx Query Designer. That is how it is designed.
