Limit Management_Limit Update

Former Member

Hi Experts,

Need advice on below scenario :

Normally in Credit Risk Analyzer (CRA), limits are updated dynamically  i.e.

Total Limit = 10 Mn , Deal created (1 month expiry)= 2 Mn ,  Total Limit (Updated) = 8mn. (10-2)

After 1 month --> 2 Mn Deal gets expired , Total Limit (Updated) = 10 Mn. (8+2)

User doesn't want Limit to get updated if the deal is expiring within same year  i.e. Total limit should remain 8 Mn even after expiry of the 2 Mn deal.

Where and how can we control Limit Updation in CRA config.

Thanks !

Adi.....

Hi Aditiya

This is standard functionality of SAP, once the deal will expired limit will get reinstated automatically.

You can try that don't run the KLNACHT program .

Hi Aditiya,

Hope you are doing good!

It is not possible in the standard system to utilize a limit by a deal which is no longer valid. You can control the dates for limit utilization, but these dates need to be within the date of validity of this deal. Say a deal is starts on 01.01.2015 and ends on 31.06.2015. It can be configured to utilize the limits only from say 01.03.2015 to 01.05.2015 and not for the rest period. However it is not possible to configure so that the deal will utilize the limit after 31.06.2015 or before 01.01.2015.

Not running KLNACHT wont solve your problem in my opinion as any other deal that will utilize this limit will take into account the past deal not being valid and remove it from the utilizations. Also it is not advisable to to do away with KLNACHT at any point. It is the backbone process of Credit Risk Analyzer and should always be executed at the end of the financial day.

Thanks & Best Regards,
