[System error: Socket closed] for HANA server

Former Member

Hello,colleagues

When I restart HANA db, during the startup process,I found the memory is not enough, so I closed other system in this server to save memory and

restart the HANA db, but it returned with error messages as follow and no diagnosis files displayed:

Connection to database server lost; check server and network status [System error: Socket closed] (com.sap.db.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc40.SQLNonTransientConnectionException: Connection to database server lost; check server and network status [System error: Socket closed])

I'm not sure whether  note 1836774 ( SAP HANA Database: Database connection is hanging) is related to this issue.Because SQL console could not be used and I could not find the connection_id of this HANA server.

Do you know how to resolve this issue?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Best regards,

Daniel

Hi, Kostia

Do you using the right HANA Studio version?

Please try to remove the HANA system id in HANA Studio and then add it.

Hey Daniel,

I am using Eclipse Kepler with SAP HANA Dev plugins. Just updated to the latest versions:

Sorry, which/where HANA system ID do you mean? Instance ID?

Kind regards,

Kostia
