Migrate SQL Server database to SAP Hana

Hi,

I have a free developer trial version of SAP Hana deployed on my Azure portal. I am looking to move my existing database in SQL Server to SAP Hana and compare the performance of my existing .NET based application between the 2 databases - SQL And Hana. Can someone give some pointers on how to go about doing the same?

I have read about using SAP SLT and BODS. However, I dont have a license of BODS and am facing lot of issues in configuring SAP SLT. Are there other ways of accomplishing what I am trying to achieve?

Regards,

Sankalp

    Hi, Sankalp;

    To move data from SQL Server to HANA, you can use SAP BODS in version 4.1 SP1 brings improved migrate with an assistant.El Link:

    Well, depends how many tables you have 😊 and how big they are.

    There's more then one way to export tables from MS SQL to excel. (ask if dont now how, I'll provide examples).

    Then just use Import flat file scenario table by table.

    Not as elegant but cheap and good enough.

    Hope this helps.
