Hello Friends, I have little Problem in APO DP I have a characteristic created by me , originally it is numeric data type. Now I need to make it alphanumeric in RSA1, example, I need to enter data(characteristic value)  ,Z1.  If I enter conversion routine alpha; and try to activate it,  I am getting below error . However , there was only one characteristic value and which  I deleted it in MC62. Questions :  1. How to over come this error ?. 2. Once after  creating  characteristic and activating  it ,  is there a way I can delete characteristic from info object ?. if yes , how it is ? . Thanks in Advance

What exactly is the error you are getting while trying to edit characteristic in RSA1??

We can edit data type of charac. but only if there is no master data for this - so plz delete master data for this as first step along with deletion of all objects(cubes etc.) where it us being used.

Also for deletion of characteristic, we cannot delete char. if it is being used in Infosource, Infoprovider, as some attribute etc. So if its being used we need to delete first Infoprovider/Infoobject from Infoprovider and then proceed accordingly.

Also we can do a where used list on the infoobject to get list of all places where it is being used and take actions accordingly.

I am getting below error, at nutshell, how to make  a characteristic "alphanumeric"? I should be able to enter Characterstic value    'Z1' instead of ZZ .
