Batch Derivation Issue

Dear All,

Reg- batch derivation issue

Below is where Shelf life date (VFDAT) & Manufacturing date (HSDAT) are not copied from SFG to FG.

Below are screen shot of the entire maintenance. Pls suggest if any thing missed.

Sender material : 19 (SFG)

Receiver Material: 18 (FG)

Receiver: FG- 18

Sender Material: SFG-19

Shelf life & Manufacturing date not captured to receiver material FG from Sender SFG.

I have followed the document in SDN.

Pls suggest if anything found on this...

Subbu,

As far as I know with Batch Derivation we can transfer batch characteristics values from the sender batch to the receiving batch.

So in your case whether you have Shelf life and Manufacturing date in Batch charateristics in SFG Batch?

Subbu,

You can also explore BADI DERIVATION if it is not possible with standard design.

Hi Kiran,

Thanks for your reply.

SLED & Manufacturing dates are maintained as characteristics in SFG.

Now the issue is solved. Condition record is maintained for the both strategy type.

1.Receiving material + Sender material

2.Material Number.

These chars were part of second strategy, not for the first one. First one is on priority based on search strategy.

I would create a new strategy only with material type.

one more..........

If I have maintained a shelf life for the FG material master, then this derivation of the SFG shelf life to FG is not happening. FG shelf life is overwriting the SFG determined shelf life...Is this standard or can overwrite even with SFG shelf life

Subbu,

In Transaction DVR1 Go to rules tab and set Error or warning for Overwrite Recipient and see during derivation are you getting any popup to control overwriting?
