Hi Experts,
In the ECC system we have an enterprise calendar where holidays and worked days are mentionned. I know that I can transfer this calendar to the BW system (Source Systeme -> Transfer global options ...).
I need to know how can I use this calendar in the BW system to know the holidays and worked days...And is there a kind of attribut in the time dimension to know if a given day is holiday or worked day?
thank's a lot for your help.
Abdess,
Hi Abdessamad
you can use standard function modules like DATE_CONVERT_TO_FACTORYDATE to see if the date is working day or not according to the factory calendar. there is no attribute in time dimension to define it.

Hi Abdess,
As you already found you can make Factory Calendars available in BW using Transfer Global Settings. There are various Function Modules in Function Group SCAL (e.g. Function Module DATE_CONVERT_TO_FACTORYDATE) which can be used in ABAP routines.
There is no Business Content for it so if you would like to model anythimg, then you will have to do it by yourself. You could think of a Working Day Indicator which you can use in the InfoProvider and use Function Module DATE_CONVERT_TO_FACTORYDATE to determine whether it's a working day or not.
Note that usually there are more than one Factory Calendars used and very often dependent on country. You will have to have a strategy to determine which Factory Calendar should be used, e.g. based on Plant.
Best regards,
Sander
