Time Zone change in QAS

Hi experts,

I am very new for SAP, but i do have some theoretical background... hope the to gain experience in the battle field and with your answers!

This time i found out that QAS system has time Zone CET, but DEV has UTC-3. We are in Buenos Aires, so UTC-3 is the correct configuration. I ran stzac in QAS but Tx says that the client is closed for changes. That´s is OK. I suppose i need to forward or transport the change from DEV to QAS (if there ir any transport request). How can i find if there is a transport request for this? If there isn´t a change request can i build one without actually modifying the table? or do i have to open the QAS system in SCC4 and procede with the change? What if the change in QAS ask me for a transport request? I know that transport request need to be generated in DEV... right?

Hi Andres,

Best way is to change the timezone in DEV which will prompt for a TR.

This TR can be imported to QAS.

Alternatively , you may open QAS client and execute STZAC and change the timezone.

I would recommend you to read through some best practises on changing the timezone settings.

Configuration in DEV is alredy done. How can i generate a Transport Request without changing Time Zone? Do i have to "change" to the same value to generate a Transport Request?

Hi Andres,

Yes please. Simple go to change mode , type in the same value and save it to generate a new transport request.
