Pick a predefined numbering for a user defined field

Hi Experts

I have a user defined field called Style, which has to pick predefined automatic numbering series based on the user input, for ex. if the style code is entered as "STY1" then the numbering series defined for STY1 should get generated.

and also if the user enters the stylecode manually then it has to take the style code entered.
