How to Apply the SAR files?

Dear all,

    Anybody can tell me how to Apply the SAR files present in the ZIP file?

I am Applying one Note. It consist some attachment.

Hello Rishabh,

after you have extracted the ZIP file, you can see the SAR files - which need to be "extracted" too with a special SAP tool.

The SAR files can be extracted with the SAPCAR program. You can download SAPCAR via

• support.sap.com
• Download Software
• Support Packages & Patches
• Alphabetical List of Products
• S
• SAPCAR
• <download the version for your OS>.

After SAPCAR has been installed, the SAR files should be automatically linked to SAPCAR - if not, you can simply link the file types.

Alternatively you can use SAPCAR via command line:

sapcar -xvf filename

which should extract the contents into the same directory where the SAR file is.
