Enter Change Number - BOM has history requirement

Hi Friends,

In Production system While trying to change BOM components for particular material through CS02,i am getting the error message " Enter change number - BOM has history requirement" and found from the t.code CS03 that one of the component BOM status has been set as "3" (Active with History requirement)  and then i was trying to get the Change Number through tables AENR,AEOI and RESB, in fact i did not find any change numbers though  we made engeneering change management field as mandetory the configuration point of view.

Going forward could you please suggest how to execute CS02 t.code and need to change BOM status as "1" (Active).

And your quick response is highly appriciated.

Hello Srinika,

Error message 29045  Enter change number - BOM has history requirement.

After setting the user's authorization in field "NOHIS" for authorization object "C_STUE_NOH" to 'No', the system will require to enter a change number when creating a BOM in transaction CS01 or Change a BOM in CS02.

You need to change the authorization for the authorization object C_STUE_NOH, field NOHIS, to "Yes".

Did you check whether there are any change numbers were created by clicking F4 or by checking in CC03?

Hi Srinika,

You need to create a change number with CC01 before making the changes to the BOM and this change number needs to be used to make the changes to BOM through CS02. All the changes done will get recorded in that particular ECM number...
