Availability Control is not checking at the time of MIGO

Dear All,

We are facing availability Control issue while positing MIGO documents in 2015.(We are testing for different option for accrual posting )

1. Budget is updated and released for same WBS $ 1,00,000 in 2014

2. In Budget profile we have  checked "Annual Values"  as well as  Overall Values"

3. Available control is active at time of budget release

4..PO is created in ERP with  same WBS for  $50,000 ( Valuated material)   in 2014

5. Year end we Carried forward commitment $50,000 to 2015 but  unused Budget $ 50,000 (1,00,000-50,000) is NOT  carry forward  to 2015

6. And also we are NOT posted any accrual for commitment in 2014

7. MIGO documents is posted for the same commitment $ 50,000  without any budget amount in 2015 .

8. And also we  have implemented note 696362.

Our concern is whether is it standard system behavior?.How system allowed to post MIGO document in 2015 without  budget updating.

Hi Krishna,

Let me give a try..

Budget in 2014 is suppose 50000$

Commtiment in 2014 is 50000$(PO)

You have forwarded commitment in 2015.

It means System will not stop at the time of MIGO becoz it will take care for commitment only

Secondly in Budget Proifle both overall and release are ticked it means your AVAC control is active on Overall budget release.

Which again means system will not check budget annual basis rather than it is checking overall basis

For your first point,Our concern is whether is it system standard  behavior?

For your second point, the budgets are releasing on annual basis only. Every year we  are updating budget  from overall budget and releasing annual basis. which means in 2015, we don't have budget at all and only commitments are carry forwarded

Hi Krishna,

It is a system behaviour..Let me elaborate same :-

It does not matter if you are releasing budget on annual basis, If in budget profile both overall and annual are tick.

To control budget annual released , you should untick the overall and tick the release. you can check same by doing F1 on any tick button.

In your case what is happening, System is consuming the budget from overall instead of annual.

once you wil do above setting then only annual budget release control get updated.

Now second query, While doing MIGO system will not check budget until PO value is same as commitment value of PO.because comitment value bahave like budget.

let me give you example with your present case

If suppose you have

Overall budget on W1-Rs 1000

annual budget on W1 2014--1000

Commitment of PO on W1 2014 -Rs500

available overall budget on W1-Rs500

available annual  budget on W1 2014-Rs500

Commitment carry fwded to 2015

Commitment of PO on W1 2015 -Rs500

Now while doing MIGO , with same amount . then system will not stop you.

because budget is available as commitment

IF you are doing MIGO,  with amount Rs510 then also system will not stop you

because your budget control is active on overall basis rather then annual basis

Hi Krish,

In standard, there is no availability check in MIGO. However the note 696362 should be helpful for the requirement. You may have a look on note 783161 and check if there is a similar situation for your issue.

Thanks for your feedback. We are also agree that system will not do availability check in MIGO. But our scenario is commitments are carry forwarded to 2015 and no budget are updated and released in 2015.

And also we already implemented note 696362 and also implemented dependent note 1711340.

can you check tolerance parameter what is the activity key there is that ++ or any other?

if other then change it as ++
