only one field (Purchasing group) to amend in ME52N by a group of persons.

Dear Experts,

We require  only one field (Purchasing group) to amend in ME52N by a group of persons. And for he same we tried through authorization control but it didnt work, as all fields were in changeable mode instead of only purchasing group.

We thought of SHD0 process to work in it,can we go in this way? Will it be effective to meet the target.

Is there any other workaround to achieve it so that one party can access std. ME52N and the other party gets ME52N only to change purchasing group .

UK,

Another option is to define a new field selection key that allows changing only the purchasing group, and defining that key in the parameter EFB for the users involved.

In the IMG for Purchsing, it's in the area Requisition - Define Screen Layout at Document Level.  The help there explains how these keys work together.

Can you explain the solution so that forum member can know the solution that you have taken.

Also have a look into the blog post to see how these types of reply creates lots of confusion

Thanks Patra ,

one more thing is it required to assign function authorization in EFB only can we create copy of EFB and then assign  function authorization(yy ) in new parameter ID .

Following this i tried to copy the EFB but only creation and change mode is possible .

and if m assigning PR display function authorization(yy ) in EFB only then Existing assigned function authorization (zz) will no more be valid and shows error in me21n

suggest regrading this .

Thanks

Regarding that, you need to consult with your Basis consultant.. He can give you more input about parameter id.

Hi Jeff ,

I created new field selection key ( xxx ) only where all available filed changed to display mode  but there G/L ,cost center and delivery fields i couldn't find to make it as display mode .

now this new field (xxx ) i assign  in FieldSelCtrl Rel in function authorization (yy) and then assign( yy ) in EFB .

something wrong  in this flow ...

The selection field of account assignment category is controlled by Account assignment category settings (OMET).

In standard SAP, system will display these fields in t-code ME23N, but for change t-code (ME52N), system will fetch the field status from OMET - Account assignment settings.

So, as of my knowledge, from PO field selection you can't display these fields for t-code ME52N. You may need to try for that.

Dear All , Thanks for your quick response  ,well am going the way what Jeff suggested .

in order to do that even now i found in PR change mode  Account assignment details  tab (EX  G/L ,WBS ,Network ) and Delivery address tab is still open to edit though the same  mentioned  fields  I couldn't find in field selection key as well to  amend.

So can you suggest what key am missing now to make above fields in display mode as well.

Thanks .

UK,

I'm suggesting that you create a new field selection key, not change an existing one.  Then assign that new one to the user through the user parameter EFB.

Dear UK,

Either you can achieve this requirement through screen variant  SHD0 (or)

Check with Basis consultant to restrict the same through an authorization (or)

You can customize the same with the combination of User Id + Plant + Tcode + Purchasing Group along with Tick indicator and it can be control by the program where the tick mark available with above mentioned key combination.
