REF: SAP Note 2120549 - SAP GUI 740 - SAP UI landscape format issued instead of saplogon.ini

    Workaround:

    1) Open the Registry Editor with "Windows" → "Run" and enter "regedit"

    2) Delete the Key "LandscapeFormatEnabled" under path:
    "HKEY_CLASSSES_ROOT\VirtualSorte\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SAP\SAPLogon"

    Hello Saurabh,

if the SAPUILandscapeGlobal.xml file exists in the mentioned folder, test the following:

    - exit all SAP GUI sessions and close the SAP GUI itself

    - in the mentioned folder rename this file (e.g. into SAPUILandscapeGlobal.xml.OLD)

    - start the SAP GUI.

The reason of this test is to see whether SAP GUI can regenerate it. When SAP GUI starts and can not find this file, it should regenerate it - if this didn't happen, rename the file to the "original" file name, so the SAP GUI can be used as before this test.

    Best regards,

    Laszlo

      Hi Saurabh,

Per SAP Note 2075150:  If you installed NWBC 5.0 with SAP GUI 7.40 the new SAP UI Landscape format is activated.

As of SAP GUI for Windows 7.40, a new file format is supported, i.e. the SAP UI Landscape format whose Specification will be released later on. As the local configuration file, the new file has the default name SAPUILandscape.xml and can contain all necessary data for SAP Logon (Pad) that were stored in the INI files and the service file.

It can also contain only part of all necessary data, typically information for <Workspaces>, <Services> and <Configuration>, and can be used together with another file: SAPUILandscapeGlobal.xml, that is in the same directory and contains other necessary data, typically information for <Messageservers> and <Routers>, as local configuration files.

After having activated the SAP UI format, you must create a server file SAPUILandscapeOnServer.xml that contains at least information for <Messageservers> and <Routers> (see note 2075073 for details).

If the given file via command parameter /LSXML_FILE= or environment variable SAPLOGON_LSXML_FILE is not existing, only SAP Logon (i.e. saplogon.exe but not saplgpad.exe) will start the data migration automatically and try to create the SAPUILandscape.xml and SAPUILandscapeGlobal.xml files according to the old configuration file settings, provided that files can be written under the path.
Otherwise SAP Logon (i.e. saplogon.exe) or SAP Logon Pad (i.e. saplogon.exe), that doesn't start the data migration in this case, will not work as usual.
The administrator must provide the given file or the user must restart SAP Logon with another file setting.

      Cheers,

    Hi Saurabh,

Please review SAP Note 2075074 - SAP Logon (Pad) 740: create/distribute server configuration file in the SAP UI landscape format.

There are some steps referenced to check after the SAP GUI is updated.  You will also want to review SAP Note 2075150.

    Regards,
