posting address and budget address

How to understand the posting address and budget address? I have read the definition in sap.help  ,but I can't understand them, can you give me a example? thanks.

But basically the FM is used for the PSM customers. Is used another total table like a PSGLFLEXT if the customer is from Public Sector. If not, you can used FMGLFLEXT, but for both tables some fields you can't use, like a profit center, segment or business area.

is this related to funds management?

posting adress is combination of characteristics to which an amount is posted, budget adress is a combination of characteristics against which the amount is checked to see if there's budget left to allow the posting.
