Recover Webi Reports

Hello

Is it possible to recover deleted webi reports? I was deleting the scheduled instances of a report then for some report the report disappeared all together. Really need help on this, thanks in advance..

Hi Kapalu,

Regardless of what the object is, to restore something a backup must exist!

BO will not backup objects automatically, unless configured to do so.

The more typical ways of backing up your BusinessObjects content are:

1. LCM/Promotion management BIAR backups.

2. CMS database filestore backups.

3. Disaster recovery on a mirror server.

4. Promote a copy of it from another environment, if existing.

5. Offline/raw backups of the actual file (e.g. .wid, .rpt, .unv, etc.) on PC where it was developed (but this would require you to re publish it to Enterprise).

Hi Kapalu,

We don't have such option to recover the deleted reports.  I think at the time of deletion of your scheduled instance, you deleted even your webi report.

Only thing you have to do is you can re import your webi report from another system, means if you deleted the webi report in DEV then re import it from quality or from production system.

If you don't have that report in any of your landscape. Then there is no such option to recover the deleted report.
