WebI connection refused

Hi everyone!

Have anyone encountered WebI rich client connection issue? When I'm trying to connect to universe via rich client from remote PC it gives me the following error

Error:

com.businessobjects.mds.olap.protocol.xmla.internal.XMLAException: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect

Cause

java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect

It seems something is wrong with java security setting, but i dont know where to configure it.

P.S: When i'm connecting from localhost using rich client, everything works fine.

Is this an MSAS connection that you are using?

If so, that connection refused is likely coming from the IIS server not allowing the connection from the remote machine.  Could also be related to the user account.  Is this setup to use Anonymous access or Windows Auth?

KBA - 1843384 covers this error for a scenario where IIS was not running, but since you say this is working for Localhost, that is likely not the case.  Can you try through the IE on your client machine to make a connection to the MSAS?
