How to move into SAP Hana?

Hi,

I have a Total 3.5 Yrs of experience in PLM domain.

I carry a mechanical background.

I want to move into SAP Hana.

Please guide me the way to get into it with certification ( If any has to be done) details.

Also, Do companies prefer to hire candidate with different background experience.

    Well, as I know, the only way to do it is either:-

    1. Join End-User company that using HANA as Support.

    2. Join Consulting firm with a possible pay-cut to gain the opportunity to learn SAP HANA.

    3. Attend course and sit for the certification:

         There are quite a lot of Certification relating to HANA e.g. BW on HANA, ABAP on HANA, HANA tech, HANA Application spec etc.

    Do note that getting the certification will not guarantee a SAP HANA job, but certification will definitely help you to stand-out among other candidates who doesn't have.
