Hi,
I want to transfer transport Request from one client to other. While creating personnel areas,i made changes(for testing purpose) in other personnel areas which are not exactly related to my requirement and saved in the same transport request. Now in that transport request..when i checked the drop down of it consists of PA's that i created for my requirement and also the PA's which i have changed for testing purpose.
1/ Does it mean that...all the PA's that are present in transport request gets transferred?Even if they are not useful for me.
2/ Is there any way that i can transport only the PA's that i created.
Thanks
Hi Nisha,
Just delete all the unwanted Personnel Areas in Dev system and save it in the same Transport and then move it again to Quality.
Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for the replies.
1/ Is there any other way...if i don't want to delete unwanted PA's and use new TR.
2/ I have checked the Drop down of transport request. In that i have noticed that order of creating PA,EG's and assignment are not in sequence. Will this effect when i transfer the TR.Pls guide.
Regards
Hi Nisha,
If you create again your PA ESG in the tables and save in the new request and transport to the other clients, total table will be transported to the other client and changes will happen in that.
so remove / delete the un-wanted changes done by you and create new as per requirement and create a new request and transport it.
this is normal scenario we can do like this.

Hi Nisha,
yes you can do as said by Naik, you want to transport only info groups right.
Then go for first three tables create reasons for personnel actions, define infogroups and change action menu. and save in new transport request and release it to the quality server and check all the entries.
for the old transport request go to se09 and double click on the request and go to tab properties and click on change (ctrl+F1) and change the description to DO NOT TRANSPORT
Hi Nisha,
That old request you dont want to transport right. then change the TR description as i said.
normally we wont delete any TR or in that some objects, if you want to delete the TR we have to revert the changes in all the tables and save in the same request and then delete the TR. this is the standard procedure.
in your case you can't revert all the changes for all the tables, so change the TR description to Do not Transport and release your new request only.
hope you understand the procedure.
Hi ,
If you have not removed the testing PA's in DEV all the PA's in transport will get transferred.
Either you have to delete those test PA's in development or identify and remove those test PA's from transport request before releasing.

.
1/You mean to say if i delete the PA's,they will not appear in TR?
2/Can u pls guide me as how to identify and remove those test PA's from transport request before releasing.
3/ My other query is now i don't want to use this existing TR completely, and wanted to have new TR for the Configurations. How can i proceed further for this.
Regards
Hi Nisha,
I think you a mess in the Development server while creating new PA's and for testing purpose.
Check the Quality server PA entries (old PA's) and in the development server delete the un-necessary created PA's and save in the same request which is used to create the PA. Now create PA's as per the requirement and save in the fresh TR and release to Quality and Production.
Suggestion, development server is not for testing which is customized for the new requirements, for testing purpose use testing server by copying the TR from the development server and check the results as per the client requirement and then release TR from Dev to Qlty to Production.
Hi Nisha,
The easiest way is to check Production / Quality system and to make the Development system in sync. To add to Praneet, in Transaction SE10, when you check your TRs, when you open the request nodes completely, by clicking on all the + signs you will see the KEYs of all the configuration that you have done, it would have entries like "51140571099991231" which could be decoded as 511 - table name , 40 - Country grouping, 5710 - Wage Type (this is an example of WT creation TR) and 099991231- End date , this may give you a clue as to what all configurations are there under the TRs.

Vishwas
