I am planning to upgrade SAP SRM from EHP2 to EHP3

error while generating stack file Stack level of product version SAP MDM CATALOG MGMT. 7.02 cannot be determined! 

Is it because of compatibility issue with SRM MDM CATALOG MGMT with SAP SRM or an issue from SOLMAN end ?

Additional info from my side:

As per Initial Constellation the patch should be 12 for MDM_TECH.

But in the system MDM_TECH patch is 10 only.

Upgrading this add-on to 12 should help in recognizing the stack-file.

Kindly someone confirm if this will work  ? Initial constellation that is shown in MOPZ is actual patch level for EHP2 ?

Thank you for your reply.

My solution manager is 7.1 SP12.

Add-ons are maintained and can be viewed from LMDB.

Also logical component maintained for SAP MDM CATALOG MGMT in SMSY.

The same logical component has been maintained under SAP SRM ENHANCEMENT PACKAGE for SAP SRM Server and also for MDM ABAP API (assigned to product EHP2 for SRM 7.0).

I have tried to generate file directly from LMDB entry under SAP SRM 7.0.

I hope I am not wrong in any of the above steps, kindly correct me or add if any need to perform further steps ?

Hi Reddy,

Did you run LMDB-landscape verification for your SRM system prior to stack file generation.   

Please check once, it may help to trace the cause of error.

I have checked MDM_TECH was already assigned under EHP2 SRM. Having MDM_TECH component again as a seperate component is the reason for all the troubles.

I have removed product assignment and it worked. Thank you all for your help.
