Translating in SAPUI5 development

Hi,

I'm new in developing SAPUI5, and I want to know that there is only one kind of translating file definition in one project?  I mean If I want to support English, Japanese, Chinese, so is it okay to make three kinds of translating files in one project? Or it's better only on kind of translating file? How about official advice?

Hello Don,

I think its good to have respective translation file only in one folder instead of the different folder's.

Thank you, and I also want to know if I have many function modules, is it okay for every module to define a '.properties' file? or all modules define one '.properties' file? thanks.

Hi Don,

You need to define only once these ".properties file",  not for specific FM's.

If you are struggling some where kindly refer the above blog , Chandra has shown complete step how we can achieve Translation.

Hi Romit,

It's my mistake, sorry for taking your time. It's this development scenarios, we have many FM's, every one have many words need to translate. One way is we only need to build a  'i18n_zh.properties'' file, all words(thousands of words) are included in this file. The other way is to build many files like: 'A_i18n_zh.properties','B_i18n_zh.properties','C_i18n_zh.properties'... words are separated in these files, so which way is better? How about official advice?

I would suggest to go with Single file (i18n_zh.properties) with all thousands of words.

It would be good if all same translation will be in single file.

are you looking for internationalization or translation?

if its a internationalization https://sapui5.netweaver.ondemand.com/sdk/#docs/guide/I18NinAppDev.html

as like images folder, you have to create a i18 folder.
