Capacity not affect the planning

hi all,

after i run the MRP

planned orders created correctly

but when i put a huge plan quantity that over production capacity

MRP still create planned order in the same date

Example

when i upload plan 200 car it's OK for the production to produce this quantity in one day

but when i upload plan by 500000 car the production can't do this in one day

and MRP create all planned orders in the same date

what can i do to make the MRP take the capacity in mind

sorry for long question.

thanks

Mohamed,

Please do remember in R/3 Finite Scheduling and Finite planning is not possible.

When you run MRP in R/3 system would always assumes that there is infinite capacity and it creates procurement proposals per your requirements which are do be dispatched/scheduled during capacity levelling in another step.

If you run MRP with Lead time scheduling it creates procurement proposals with capacity loads on WCs which can be checked in CM01/CM05 and in CM25 you can do Finite Scheduling.

If you want to system to do finite scheduling during MRP run itself the do consider implementing APO.

Hello

Please observe that this question has been asked several times on SCN.

As already mentioned on those threads, MRP does not consider finite capacity, therefore, what you observe on your system is according to the system standard design.

As an alternative, you may consider using a "tatk time" on the material master and a lot sizing constraint to split the planned orders on several days.

I suggest you to do a more detailed research before opening a new thread on SCN. Please read carefully the following document:

Dear Mosbah,

Based on Your demand (500000), MRP calculates how many lots required as per your lot size.

but system does not know about your schedules.it can be showed overload your capacities. you can done the dispatch of the work centres as per your requirement through like CM25 etc.. then only evluation will be cleared. after evluation, you can see the planned orders start date and end one by one as per work centre sequences.

please see the below link for evaluation of the capacity
