Dear SCN Users,

How much message load can a JMS adapter handle?

Is it possible to handle 3k-5k synchronous messages/day using JMS adapter?

Raghu,

There is no technical limit for SAP PI on paper. Throughput of SAP depending on sizing (physical RAM, CPU...). Try load test in lower environment (maybe sandbox). I agree with Hareesh, 3K-5K JMS messages per day, is not a huge load. Check with Basis team for system utilization report.

Raghu,

   We have few scenarios where messages would float 5MB daily and the frequency is for every 30mins

   hence there will be no problem for 5k.

   My scenarios are on PI 7.4 Single Stack with SP07.

I don't think we have such restrictions in handling number of messages a day at adapter level. It depends on your system configuration(server nodes, memory etc)

3k-5k is not a big load if you ask me..
