Check instructions / A does not exist for location product AAA / location BB

Hi,

I receiving this message when I do the availability check in a sales order:

Check instructions  / A does not exist for location product YYY/ location BB

Where could be the problem? In apo, the check mode is not empty in the product master (ATP tab). Even if I clear this field I'm receiving the same message. Even trying another material I'm receiving the same message.

Thanks

    Was,

If the message really is "...<>/A..." where <> is a 'blank', then it probably means that the sales doc on the ECC side somehow does not have an ATP checking group assigned to it.  VBAP-MTVFP must have an entry in it for your sales documents that will use availability checking (whether you do the ATP in ECC or in SCM).

If in fact there is an entry in this VBAP field, then you probably have an enhancement that is interfering with standard ATP processing.

If the field is empty in ECC, then take steps to fill it.  Ensure that the relevant material masters for these docs have an SCM-relevant ATP checking group assigned in  ECC.

      Was,

I hope this is a dev or test system 😊 and not a production system. 😔

Make sure for troubleshooting purposes that there is one and only one integration model containing the 'ATP' for the materials in question in ECC.  Find all that exist, using CFM5, deactivate all but one using CFM2, delete the superfluous ones using CFM4.

So far I have assumed RBA is not configured, please confirm.

There is an outside chance that there is currently some inconsistency within your sales docs in ECC.  Try running report SDRQCR21 in ECC.  If you are confident you understand ALL your SD userexits that are used during SD order creation, also run RVV05IVB according to note 128947 in ECC.  Then, run /SAPAPO/SDRQCR21 against these materials in APO.  Then re-try your ATP.

Otherwise, I suspect you have an enhancement 'somewhere' between ECC and APO that is preventing proper ATP checking.  Speak to your ABAPers.  Somewhere during ATP checking, I believe that CIF is replacing the Availability checking group that exists in VBAP-MTVFP with 'blank' before presenting it to the GATP engine.
