Request processing failed. (XLS 000009 ) Dashboard 4.1 SP04

Hi experts, I'm facing  this issue in dashboard design: "Request processing failed. (XLS 000009 )"
It is an intermittent error, it happens when adding a BICS connection in Dashboard Query Browser. The BICS connection has been configured with SSO.

The error happens in DEV environment, in PRD works fine.
We have configured HTTPS with SSL on Tomcat and SSO with Windows AD. We have configured CORBA SSL as well.

We have created alias for Enterprise and WindowsAD users
The error happens with Enterprise and WindowsAD authentication.
The error happens in DEV environment, in PRD works fine (same configuration).
In Webi (DEV and PRD) this connections works fine always.

There are a few notes about it but don't have the solution.

Our System: SAP BI Platform 4.1 SP04 Patch 4 on Windows Server 2008.
The error happens after upgrade from 4.0 SP06.

Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Sergio,

    The error screenshot only shows error.openSAPBWBrowsingSessionFailed and does not mention any meaningful error message. I would suggest you to capture Fiddler logs to identify the root cause of the error.

    Also what is the authentication mode being used? (Predefined / SSO)? You mentioned it works fine in WEBI. DO you mean WEBI Rich client or WEBI RIA?

      Thanks for yor reply.

      The authentication mode is SSO and the connections work fine in Web Intelligence Rich Client.

      I'm going to check Fiddler Logs.

    Hi Sergio,

    we encountered this problem after changing the password of the BW-user that was used to sync the BW-roles with BO. We also changed the password in the SAP authentication menu in the CMC and the login to BO with a BW user worked perfectly fine.

    But when we tried to create a new query in Dashboards based on a BEx-query the error occured after selecting the connection (when the list of BEx-queries should be loaded).

    After simply restarting the two Dashboard servers the error message was gone. I think there was a problem with cached data...

    Maybe that also works for you?

    We had a similar situation and we simply restarted our services after which it was working fine.
