Stop CS and CS32 from CCM and CMC but PID still alive

Former Member

Hi,

i noticed on my BI4.1 SP3 Platform that when i try and stop the connectionServer and ConnectionServer32 process from CMC or CCM,

the status is changed to stopped whereas the PID is still alive on the server (and corresponding files in serverpids folder are still there)

As a result, i try and start thos process that are supposed to be stopped on my Platform, there won't start.

I i want to stop/start those processes i have to activate a force stop from the CCM

Do you know why?

Thanks

Kill those PID from the Task Manager and then start.

OK,

it is the same action as when i force server shutdown from CCM.

but what about the normal behaviour?

Those servers should be stopable from CMC...

its the same action but some process remain in the hung state and become orphan so its the best to kill them manually and then start from  CCM or CMC.

Normally they should disappear from the Task Manger and they should be stoppable from CMC.
