Hello everyone,
I would like to ask your thoughts on SAP HANA and SAP ABAP,
I am web and database developer, and wanted to learn SAP and gradually move towards supply chain sector.
I've looked into both hana and abap but can not decide what to do Hana or Abap.
Which has more scope, which one is not so hard to learn, not difficult to find a job.
Thank you, in advance for your help.
Hi Murtaza
ABAP is programming language use to develop various objects in SAP just like JAVA,J2EE for web development.
To get along with ABAP use the book : SAMS Teach yourself ABAP/4 in 21 days.
Its a good book to start with.
Let me know for any of your other concerns.
Thanks and Regards

Hi Murtaza,
It all depends on you, how well you get along with ABAP and is not mandatory to have experience for certification.
However I personally prefer certification with experience would be like Icing On the Cake..!!
Thanks and Regards

Hi Murtaza,
Before you go on to select one of them I would like to provide you few suggestion.
Explore the internet with the technology/field of interest you would like to work on.
SAP HANA and SAP ABAP are two different things. of course they are inter-related but that does not suffice your choice to make one based on your profile.
SAP HANA, short for "High-Performance Analytic Appliance" is an in-memory, column-oriented, relational database management system developed and marketed by SAP.

where as
ABAP is a Advanced business application programming language developed by SAP.

Which has more scope, which one is not so hard to learn, not difficult to find a job.
Thank you, in advance for your help.
Any new technology is harder at first look but gets easier with your hard work and patience for learning.
So change your "not so hard to learn" attitude to "I will/want to learn" attitude.
All the best..!!
Thanks and Regards
