SAP ADS System Landscape

Dear experts,

For one of our customers, we have installed SAP ERP 6.0 with a landscape of 3 systems (DEV, QAS, PRD). We have to connect ADS ( ASJAVA) to ERP DEV, QAS and PRD, in this scenario should we have a landscape of 3 systems (DEV, QAS, PRD) also for sap as java ads usage type, or we can just use one as java system and connect it to SAP ERP DEV QAS PRD.

What are the SAP prerequises (license)  for using ADS with ERP in landscape of 3 systems ?

Thanks in advance ?

    Hello Tarik,

the scenario with a single Java instance connected with multiple ABAP backend is technically feasible for ADS, we implemented for a customer recently. You can even use the Java stack of SolMan with ADS software component installed, so that Solman will be used for something useful :-)

Obviously you must provide enough resources for handle the load of all ABAP backends and consider that java system as productive.

    Best Regards,

    Valerio

Keep in mind, Adobe has another option now...ADS in the Cloud. Something to consider.

Personally, I have seen one server with ADS set up for DEV and QA systems and then another separate server with ADS for production (separate due to performance and upgrade considerations).
