Mass Retirement using asset work list

Dear Experts

i am trying to use work list functionality to post mass asset retirement .. but when i release the work list from AR31 after few seconds i get error message that GL asset retirement Expense need assignment of cost object.. i was convinced that every asset cost center will be recalled automatically during this process to receive the loss due to this retirement..

please inform me how to handle this issue..
