Conversion from char to quan ?

I have a Z report which shows characteristics details of equipment. In which all fields data type is char30. if user perform filter for a field showing quantity values its not getting filter.

So I changed char30 to quan data type for quantity fields so its getting filter but main problem is that f4 of filter showing junk values.

Please help me out of this.

Hi,

What kind of junk values are coming in F4 help.

Could you provide the screen of the same.

And in which field you are using F4 help.

Hi Swati,

Your databse field is of which type? You said you were using char30, then you changed to quantity field. So, when you do F4 on field, it will try to show values in character but, you have used data type quan. So, how it will display data?

Same issue is mentioned in below thread. Is it a duplicate post then?
