SAP HANA to send out alerts/notifications to users based on a threshold set for a field. Not related to database alerts.

Can anyone please let me know if there any option in SAP HANA where email notifications or SMS can be sent to the users of an application whenever a threshold value is exceeded for a particular field.

Example - User is viewing youtube and has limited bandwidth. Once it exceeds, an alert is sent to the user.

On similar grounds if we are using SAP HANA to provide information to the user, is there a way to send out SMS/email notifications based on condition.

You can configure the e-mail alerts in the HANA Studio based on Thresholds and Periodic checks as seen below screenshot

You need to get into HANA Studio--> ALERTS-->CONFIGURE

This works well and we are using it for basic level of monitoring on our HANA Systems

Hi Kavitha,

From HANA SPS09 onwards, you can send e-mails via SAP HANA.

You can create an XSJS service and trigger a condition to send e-mail as per your requirement.

Can you be more specific as t what you are exactly looking for?
