Workflow not updating accordingly

Hi,

I'd like the community's help on this.

The scenario was that a user has created a PR for 1 line item. After the PR has been fully approved, the user decided to create a new line item and based on our custom FM for workflow, it will go back to the last approver as it was working very well since we've implemented it. Later on this stage, this happened.

The last approver was able to approve the PR (screenshot as shown) but the status in the workflow overview is still in process, If you will notice as well, the PR code status was not updated as well (still having the Warning triangle).

Has anyone encountered this type of issue? Is there a SAP note to fix this?

    Hi,

The next (Release) step has not finished yet (as shown in your screenshot). Check the technical log on that step.

It may have halted with an error - check ST22 - or perhaps it has encountered temporary locking.

    cheers

    Paul

Thank you all for your inputs.

I have tried all your suggestions but unfortunately, none of them had an error from ST22 or SWU3.

seems that its a bug within the workflow.

I had 2 cases like this on different environments (PRD and QAS). Our development team is still searching for the cause of this.

    • Hi

Did you check SM13 for any update errors during the time when the last step (the one with "In Process" status) was started 17.12.2014 / 09:14:55 for user WF-BATCH?

Also check SMQA at the same time for any tRFC errors in WORKFLOW_LOCAL_XXX where XXX is the client number.

      Regards,

      Modak
