Dear expert,
I would need some help from you side, please.
I need to add a new depreciation area in more than 6 thousand itens. I've tried through DTW, but did not work, as you can see below. My second area always come with zero values.
Someone already add other depreciation area? How can I do this? Through excel import would be better? Do you have excel model to show me?
Below I've attached my two dtw files.
Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards,
Mariana
Fixed Asset 928
BEFORE DTW
AFTER DTW
Contabil Depreciation area - looks ok
Fiscal Depreciation area - NOT Ok
It is possible that this is a limitation for Fixed Assets.
With the previous add on version, you could create a new area, but it would only be able to be used with new assets, it would not assign to existing assets.
I would create a test database and try using the import from excel function to add data to the new area, it may work...

Hi Julie,
Thank you for your help.
Do think is this limitation even for fixed asset that do not have any depreciation?
We just imported fixed asset information but we did not run any depreciation at production database.
We would like to start doing this next year with both areas, because one are has unlimited useful life and other they need to depreciate in 4 year always.
Through excel I've tried to add this area but SAP shows the message FA already exists.
I did not find any documentation that could help me in this specific issue.
Any advise ?
Kind Regards,
Mariana
When you do your import from excel you should import a line for each asset for each depreciation area you are wanting to use.
According to the note, if your assets have a status of New you should be able to add the area to the asset class, and that should refresh the areas available for the asset. Have you tried that?
