Have ECC do pricing for CRM

Hello

we're currently in the process to implement a CRM prototype. The main problem is replicating the pricing procedure and

its functionality to CRM. Instead of tediously porting our custom requirements and formulas to Java, has anybody tried

to call function module PRICING remotely from ECC and use the values the FM returns?

Best regards,

Sven

Hello Sven,

Have you thougt about the Lean Order scenario. That means that you are in the CRM UI but you use the ERP sales order customizing.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, initially this was on the table, but abandoned later as our consulting company advised we wouldn't be able to use some of the CRM functionality (sales pipelines etc), for whatever it's worth.

We're now biting the bullet and have started to reimplement our requirements and formulas in Java, but there some stuff I just don't get why on earth would they design CRM and not make plants available in CRM, without plants there's not costs without costs no margin, and if margins are not part of sales activities I don't know what is. I know there're lots of OSS notes addressing these subjects suggesting workarounds but there shouldn't have to be any workarounds.

Anyway, thanks for your input.

Best regards,

Sven

Hey Sven,

Your initial suggestion (about calling PRICING as an RFC) seemed like a good idea at the start, but as function PRICING works in ECC structures (KOMP-KOMK and vice versa), manipulating it to work in CRM server would be a helluva project. I do not think it can be very helpful even after days of work.

Porting routines and requirements to Java is really an awful thing to do, I second that. Wish there was an eaiser option.
