I need to bring the G/L account & cost center field at item level from item details level.Is it possible to change the layout?

How you can handle when you will use multiple account assignment ? Can you able to enter multiple cost center and G/L account in one line item ?

Fortunately the dept is going to use only one G/L & Cost center.But the issue is if they are going to create 100 line items then they have to   enter G/L & Cost center at item detail level though copy option is available.

First of all, it might be only your business process. But SAP have to also think about the multiple account assignment. It is not possible to use the cost center at item level.

If your problem is only to copy paste the account assignment details from one line item to another line item, then you can use the option option repeat on as below :

It will keep remember your account assignment details when you will create second line item. So that you do not need to enter these details again for second line item.

Why don't you add one line item with complete details(Including GL and CC) and use the Copy option to insert other line items which will copy the GL and CC from the first line and just change the material details.

What happens when business comes back &  says i will be using different G/L acct for different line items.

If I ask the same question to you with your scenario (if the option will be at line item), then what will be your answer ?

Of-course you need to change it manually, how can SAP know that what is the different G/L account or cost center you want to use. The repeat on or copy line item will just continue your account assignment details for further line item.

Copy facility is useful when you have single GL and Cost center used for multiple line items which is the case as per your earlier message. If they are going to use different GL and CC then what is point of getting the field at line item level as in either case they will have to fill in manually different GL and cost center.

Hi,

This is not possible . In the item details screen once the account assignment category is given in the item details . However you can make a perticular GL and cost center as default in the item details .

HI

PR Line item wise & Item details  enter Cost center & G.L accounts , we can enter in PR Creation.
