Hi all,
Myself working as a Project/Procurement Engineer in Dubai, UAE. I have a total of 7 years experience in Procurement and Contracts management. In the year 2010 I got involved in Core SAP team for implementation of SAP for procurement in our company and since then I've been using SAP daily basis for entire procurement process. Now I prefer and wish to go for SAP-MM module training and subsequent certification from SAP to become a SAP consultant. I seek expert advice/suggestion if i need to continue with my plan or deviate from it. Also please comment about the job opportunities for the same as well.
Regards,
Jaffar

I would be cautious in making statement "lots of companies using MM" = "huge opportunities"
Popular modules in SAP just means an increase in demand. An increase in demand for a skillset will eventually result in an increase of supply for skill sets. Therefore, it may not be a huge opportunity.
@Jaffar - please search SCN Careers and Certification spaces for discussions and blogs where freshers and juniors have talked about their experience with entering SAP "door". It is a great career but it can be very difficult to find good opportunities as an inexperienced person. No matter which module you choose, there will be competition
