while changing the delivery date in SO, it gives error like "The Date 5,054 is not convertible ( please correct)

Hi all,

The issue is : While user trying to change the delivery date from 29.12.2014 to 19.12.2014 system giving the below error message for 2nd and 5th line items materials ONLY even for these two materials when trying to create a new sales order also giving the same error message as below.

Error message  "The Date 5,054 is not convertible ( please correct)"  & message number 61060.

With this message number i found some treads and SAP notes with that every one suggesting that needs to extend the Factory calender validity period.

but my assumption is still there is a validity period available upto 2015( which is factory calender validity period)even though if you we consider Planned delivery time+ in-house production time or goods receipt processing time etc .

Other information:  Factory calender/company code validity period is up to 2015/ Shipping point calender validity is upto 2020.

As per the below wiki document have calculate the days :

How to correct the date errors of calendar in MRP - ERP Manufacturing (PP) - SCN Wiki

Based on my error message it is 5054 is beyond the  actual days 4782+258=5040,  so system is calculating wrongly. To correct this as per above wiki advise i think i need to follow in debug mode which may not be acceptable since it is production system.

So my question is what is the best solution to over come the above error?

If it is the only solution of Factory calender

date is to be extended then my question is why for other materials it is accepting which are also having same settings like for the issue materials?

thanks,

some more information:

in MM02 : GR processing time :15 days, planned delivery time :2 days and Total RLT: 0 days,

the above setting is  almost same for all line item materials.

And have cheeked the 20 and 50 line items( which are having the issue) change log: Planned delivery time old : 90 days and new is : 2days.

Please let me know if you need any more information?

thanks,

Looking for change documents is certainly a good approach, did you already check the material master for changes?

As it was possible to enter the item with 29.12.2014 initially , and since you want to change it to an earlier date (not a date in far future), it has to be assumed that there must have been some changes after the initial entry.

I would not expect a change to central customizing like the calender, as this should then affect the other items too.

The  circled item lines show an indicator for schedule lines, can you give a screenshot from there, since the overview only displays the first date.

Do you get the same message if you change it to another date than the 19.12.2014?

What do you get to see in MD04 and CO09 for these materials?

Hi Sir,

Thank you very much for your reply and for your time. When trying to check CO09, it is giving same error as above "

The date 5,054 is not convertible (please correct) Message no. 61060. And

when trying check MD04, its giving the below error message:

5,054 date comes after end of valid factory calendar. (Please correct)

Message no. 61062.

Other information: when trying to do the same MD04, CO09  for remaining line items materials ( which are NOT having the issue, it is showing all the details.

Please find the below screen shot of Sales document change log. And Materials master changes log only i have mentioned in my initial post of only (Planned delivery time old : 90 days and new is : 2days.).

I would not expect a change to central customizing like the calender, as this should then affect the other items too.

Thank you sir for the above valid point, but still i could not assume the above change impact, because while extending the Factory calender validity period from 2015 to let us says 2020, how this change will impact, could you please through me some light on this impact?

thanks,

I expected the error to come up in MD04 too.

It is a bit complex to find the root cause, please read the OSS note 204127 - MRP: Error 61060 /1 /...2 - which element?

it has instructions for debugging and other information what to check.

Had you checked the material master change history?
