Hi guys,
As part of my Structure, I created a 'Selection' called Nominal Gross Domestic Product as well as a 'Formula'.
This formula is as follows :-
'Nominal Gross Domestic Product' / 1000000000 %A 100
The reason I divide with '1000000000' is because I use Key Figure type Floating Point Number and in BW-BPS I have to key-in up to 9 decimal values. Since, I only need to display upto 2 decimal points in my BEx report, so I divide it accordingly.
However, despite using the %A 100, I still do NOT get the Percentage sign displayed in my BEx Query
Hi John,
If you would try to use this formula without dividing by 1000... what you'd get?
Best regards,
Eugene

Hi John,
I had the same problem some time ago. Now I cannot reproduce the situation. I remember that I played with NOERR and NODIM functions, with creation of intermediate formulas etc. Finally, I solved it.
Try this to.
It's not a typical situation. As I said percentage functions are very sensitive.
Best regards,
Eugene

John,
What have you included into 'Nominal Gross Domestic Product' selection except of KF?

Eugene

Dear Eugene,
In my BEx Column I have a Structure
My First 'Selection' is called Nominal Gross Domestic Product
In this selection, I have a Key Figure and restricted another Characteristic Nominal Gross Domestic Product to value 'Real GDP'
Then, I hide this selection from display
Below, I created another 'Selection' and used the formula as below
'Nominal Gross Domestic Product' / 1000000000 %A 100
Your advice is very much appreciated, mate
Percentage shouldn't change if you divide all values (including total) by the same amount.
I saw in my practise that percentage functions are very sensitive either to the deviations from exact formula syntax or to any errors in any of records in rows.
Best regards,
Eugene
