Issue with Solution manager(1 solman_setup 2 solman_admin)

Hi Guys,

This is new basis and new to SOLMAN.

I met 2 issues after I installed solution manager 7.1

1 there is no solman_admin in place, do I need to create this user manually?

2 When I was trying to use solman_setup, the website will popup correctly, and ask me to login, but I cann't. If I key in the right username and password, the page just like refresh and stay on logon page.... nothing happended...

The SOLMAN_ADMIN user is an administration user that is created automatically in transaction SOLMAN_SETUP.

Need to setup FDQN as said above and login with SOLMAN_ADMIN to proceed further.

Thanks for your reply...

I got the idea, and I changed the profile file....

http://solman.rts.local:8000/sap/public/myssocntl?sap-client=200

the URL became something like above and cannot find server....I guess maybe something wrong with our infraustructure

or is there any configuration I have to do inside SAP GUI?

What is the parameter icm/host_name_full set to .Please set this parameter to FQDN

Which parameter have you changed in profile and what was the error when you entered solman_setup

Please check the parameter icm/host_name_full set to FQDN.

Also please check at OS level  etc/host profile file maintained properly with IP and FQDN.

Hi Gang,

As said above you need to set profile parameter icm/host_name_full with value of your FDQN name (in your case it's solman.rts.local).

Also,are you able to get SOLMAN_ADMIN user from the previous replies ? Kindly confirm .

Instead of IP address try with FQDN link then try to login.
