Hi Everyone,

My client has uploaded the Products in C4C and used random category ID. Now, these products are currently in use.

I am integrating ERP with C4C and noticed a need to change the Category ID structure assigned to Products and when I am trying to delete the Category ID it gives an error message stating 'Product assigned to this Category'. I also tried to mark the Product as 'Obsolete' however the change didn't implement through 'Mass Data Maintenance' though record was processed successfully, so I marked these products as 'Blocked'; however then also I cant delete the Category ID assigned to a 'Product'.

It is must to have this structure updated and I cant loose the Product ID's already created since these are aligned with ERP system.

Please suggest a way, how I can change the Category ID assigned to a product or Can delete or mark everything as obsolete so I can build a new structure which will be inline with ERP system.

Please suggest.

Best Regards,

Amit

Hi,

Same issue over here, I`ve created a product hierarchy to test the functionallity, added to products and now I want to change the root Category ID to the one that is gonna be used by the client. Obviously I can't , I blocked the products and i'm still getting the same error 'Product assigned to this Category'. Could you solved this in any way?

Best Regards,

Karla.-

Hi,

I am assuming you want to replicate Product Hierarchy from ECC into C4C? Unfortunately if you have already created the Root in C4C, there is little options to remove it unless support can start from scratch (not sure if this possible, perhaps raise an incident from your tenant).

However, what you can do it map the Root ID of the Product Hierarchy in C4C against the Root ID in ECC. You can do that in Silverlight in Administration -> Edit ID Mapping for Integration -> ERP Product Categories.

In here, map the ROOT ID of the C4C product category agains the ROOT of the hierarchy in ECC. Normally this is PRODH. Once you trigger the intial load from ECC, it will replicate the hierarchy over. Of course this does mean that your ROOT node in C4C is still the same as what you had before, it won't create a new one or rename it. But your ECC hierarchy will come over.
